FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I pay just to get favorite tips? I can pick them myself.

Yes, you most certainly can do your own selections, but finding the right favorites is not as simple as that. On any given day in the USA, there are upwards of 80 races to over 200 races across North America. On the lesser of the two numbers quoted here, the strike rate is on average between 34% to 37%, so this equates to around 30 favorites winning from 80 races—a very poor success rate indeed.

You are quoting a strike rate on your selections of over 75%. This seems very hard to believe.

All our selections are published to our subscribers well in advance of race times, and we update the results on a daily basis so our strike rate can easily be checked.

There is no real value in the prices of the horses you tip.

Value is a matter of opinion. We work on the basis that profit is better than loss every time. If you are looking for big-price winners, this is not the service for you. If you can make around £10 a day clear profit, you are well on course for a profit of £250 in a month, depending on what you decide to stake.

How much should I bet each time?

Betting amounts are, of course, a matter for each individual, and it’s important to remember to only ever bet what you can comfortably afford. With this in mind, we recommend a separate betting bank from your normal budget. A staking plan of 10% of your bank either increasing after a win or decreasing after a loss. For example, with a bank of £100, you would bet £10. Should you win at evens, your bank would then stand at £110, and your next bet would be £11, and so on. Should the first bet lose, then your next bet would be £9. As your bank increases, the bets increase and so do the profits.

Can you guarantee a bet every day there is racing?

The simple answer is no. The reason for this is weather. In the USA, at certain times of the year, heavy torrential rain can make the tracks impossible to race on. Also, brush fires can sometimes cause cancellations due to smoke and wind direction, but it’s not a common event. Providing all our selection factors are there, we will give a selection and, on some occasions, more than one horse.
